Volunteer Opportunity: Preschool Teacher (ages 2, 3 or 4)

Ø Job Description: On Sundays and Wednesdays, preschoolers are introduced to God’s love through caring staff and stimulating stories and songs. Preschool Teachers are responsible to (1) prepare for weekly lessons and activities, (2) receive children and families into the classroom, (3) present lessons in an age-appropriate and engaging manner, (4) release children to parents in a personable manner and (5) help straighten classrooms after class.

Ø Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be able to present lessons and lead activities with excitement and will have a love for preschool age children. No experience is necessary though familiarity with preschool behavior and stages of growth will benefit both the class and the volunteer.

Ø Spiritual Gifts: teaching, encouragement, administration, mercy, wisdom, faith, knowledge, pastoring, service.

Ø Time Requirement: Sundays or Wednesdays, 3 hours/week on a rotating or permanent basis.

Ø Other Requirements: Attendance at periodic training opportunities throughout the year. Background check.
